Biography

Rachel Spicer was born on June 12, 1994. She started competing as an optional gymnast in 2005 and quickly made a name for herself in the Junior Olympic Scene. She earned silver medal on both uneven bars and floor exercise as the 2007 Region III Championships as a level nine gymnast and qualified to the 2007 Western National Championships. At Western National Championships she earned 7th place all-around as well as third on uneven bars and fifth on floor. 2008 Rachel competed her first year of level ten earning a gold medal on uneven bars, floor exercise, and all around at Texas State Championships. She went on to earn silver medals on vault, floor exercise, and all around at Region III Championships. At her very first JO National Championships she placed fourth all around and earned a spot on the JO National Team. In 2009 She swept the state competition earning gold medals on all four events and the all around. She went on to place first on vault, uneven bars, floor exercise, and the all around at Region III Championships. Rachel once again traveled to Junior Olympic Nationals where she placed fourth all around and third on vault.

Rachel began her sophomore year at Marcus High School in the fall of 2009. She will be graduating in 2012 and is looking forward to earning a gymnastics scholarship for college.
