SAMI NAMED TO NATIONAL TEAM // 100509

Although Samantha was unable to compete at the National Championships in August, she was petitioned onto the 2009-2010 National Team. Samantha is currently healing well and looking forward to next season.

SAMI TAKES GOLD AT GYMNIX WORLD CUP // 031009

Samantha was selected as part of the US delegation that traveled to Montreal, Canada for the 2009 Gymnix World Cup. She was automatically qualified to event finals on uneven bars due to the lack of competitors for the qualification round. Sami competed an outstanding bar routine and scored a 14.725, a high enough score for the gold medal! Congrats to fellow US teammate, Mattie Larson, for earning the gold on balance beam and floor exercise. !

SAMI TAKES TWO GOLDS AT PANAMS // 112508

As part of the US delegation to the PanAmerican Event Championships, Sami won gold on bars and beam in Rosario, Argentina! Her 15.475 on bars and 15.650 on beam in the qualifying rounds were good enough to advance to the finals, where she improved her scores to a 15. and a 15.775 to win the gold on both events. 

The rest of her teammates also performed well! Corrie Lothrop (Hills) claimed the gold on vault and silver on bars, beam, and floor; Olivia Courtney (Orlando Metro) won floor and was second on vault; Danell Leyva (Universal) won high bar and was second on pommels; Glenn Ishino was fifth on pommels and fourth on high bar. Congratulations on a great job Team USA!

We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season! This website was recently redesigned and all of the sections were updated. There is also some new content, including some jigsaw puzzles, icons, and an "In the News" section which lists Sami's features in print & online media.

The video clip section has been re-done with a custom player from YouTube. Videos from 2005 JO Nationals, 2006 AOGC Invitational, 2006 WOGA Classic, 2007 Nationals, 2008 WOGA Classic, 2008 Gymnix International, 2008 Jesolo Grand Prix, 2008 Pacific Rim, and 2008 Nationals - whew!
