Welcome to The Official Website of McKenzie Wofford! Mckenzie is an international elite gymnast from Texas where she trains at Zenith Gymnastics. She qualified to the international elite level for the first time in 2007 and qualified to her very first USA National Championships. However, Mckenzie had a scary fall in warm-ups and was forced and withdraw from the competition. She came back strong in 2008 qualifying to her 2nd USA National Championships and placing 13th in the all-around, just one spot shy of making her first USA National team. Mckenzie requalified to the international elite level in 2009 and won the 2009 American Classic and took the bronze medal at the 2009 US Classic. She once again qualified the US National Championships and was later named to the USA National Team Training Squad.
McKenzie began training at WOGA in early 2010 and qualified to the 2010-2011 Junior National Team! In December of 2010 McKenzie traveled to South Africa for her very first international competition, the 2011 Bumbo Cup. McKenzie earned 2nd in the all around and took 1st on uneven bars & balance beam, 2nd on floor exercise, and 3rd on vault. McKenzie moved into the senior ranks in 2011 and began competing for Zenith Elite Gymnastics. She traveled to Chicago, IL for the 2011 CoverGirl Classic where she was in the lead after two events and finished in 4th place against past Olympians such as Shawn Johnson and Chellsie Memmel. Unfortunately she fractured her foot at the 2011 VISA national Championships in podium training and was unable to compete. Hoping to still have a shot at being selected for the World Championships or Pan Am Game Teams she pushed through the injury and went to selection camp. McKenzie did well and was added to the 2011-2012 Senior National Team and was selected to the Pan Am Team as an alternate. She is currently working new skill in preparation for a shot at the 2012 Olympics. Please look around this site to learn more about this talented gymnast. Please don't forget to sign McKenzie's guestbook before you leave.
