>> Biography
Jenna Rachels was born on November 16, 1994 at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. At 10 weeks of age she developed Bacterial Meningitis and scared us all for a short period of time. I knew from the time she was a little girl that God had big plans for her life and He is revealing that every day.
Jenna began gymnastics when she was 4 years old and it seems as if she's been flipping ever since. She started competing Level 2 when she was 5 years old at Paris School of Performing Arts in Stockbridge, GA where she trained until reaching Level 8. Jenna then moved on to Gwinnett Gymnastics Center in Lilburn, GA where she trained through level 9 and Level 10. While at GGC Jenna was a TOPS contender at age 11 and also qualified to the HOPES division at the U.S. Classic/Challenge in Kansas, MO. July, 2006.
Along with her coaches, Beth and Jeff, Jenna travels extensively throughout the United States competing in Gymnastics Meets. She has been invited to attend training camps at the Karolyi Ranch in Houston, TX. The Karolyi Ranch is the site where the USA National Gymnastics Team trains.
Currently, Jenna is training at Olympia Gymnastics Center in McDonough, GA with her coaches Beth Hair and Jeff Lewis. Her most recent accomplishment was qualifying on May 4, 2007 as Jr. International Elite gymnast for the upcoming American Classic and U.S. Classic this year where she hopes to qualify for the 2007 VISA National Championship in San Jose, CA..
Her goals are to make the Jr. National team and her dreams are to compete one day for the USA Gymnastics Olympic Team. Jenna home schools to allow her the time to train as an Elite gymnast. She truly loves this sport and is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to achieve her goals.
