Gabrielle will appear on the third annual Stand Up to Cancer telethon
The telethon will air on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX as well as other cable stations. Since 2008, Stand Up to Cancer has raised over $180 million for cancer research and awareness. Make sure you tune in Friday, September 7 at 8 p.m. EST to catch Gabrielle and other celebrities supporting Stand Up to Cancer.
Gabrielle travels to Charlotte
Gabrielle will travel to Charlotte, NC with members of the Fierce Five for the Carolinas Healthcare System event, "Kids' Health Goes Gold". The event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at Foundation For The Carolinas, 220 North Tryon St.
"I'm excited to come to Charlotte for "Kids' Health Goes Gold" to meet with fans and share my personal tips on leading a healthy lifestyle," said Gabrielle. "I want kids to understand that fitness and good nutrition are the building blocks for success and will give them the strength and confidence to accomplish their goals – whether it's winning a gold medal, getting straight As or finishing all of their chores."
There are two sessions (limited to 150 participants each) and tickets are available for Session One 8a.m.-11a.m. or Session Two 1p.m.-4p.m.

Gabrielle Douglas is headed to London as a 2012 Olympian!
Gabby Douglas earned her bid to the Olympics by coming in First Place at the Olympic Trials July 1, 2012 ensuring her place in the Games. In addition to Gabrielle; McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber will be traveling to London as gymnasts for the 2012 U.S. Women's Olympic Team.
