Welcome to the Official Website of Gabrielle Douglas! Gabby is an international elite gymnast from Chow's Gymnastics in West Des Moines, Iowa. She began her competitive career in 2003 as a level 4 and went on to earn the 2004 Level 4 Virginia State Champion title. She quickly moved through the optional ranks and earned spots on three consecutive Tops National Teams. In 2008 Gabby qualified as an international elite gymnast.
Gabby competed at the US Classic where she placed 10th in the all around and qualified to the 2008 US National Championships in Boston, MA. She re-qualified to the International Elite level in 2009 and placed 6th all around at the American Classic in San Diego, CA. Gabby was only able to compete balance beam at US Nationals due to injury, but earned 5th place on that event.
Gabby began 2010 by being invited to several training camps at the National Team Training Center. She traveled to Florida for the 2010 Sand Dollar Elite Qualifier where she earned 1st place on vault, beam, and all around while also qualifying to the 2010 Naitonal Championships. She went on to compete at the 2010 Parkette Invite placing 4th on beam and earing a silver medal on floor. She swept all event gold medals at the 2010 Excalibur Cup and earned a place at the 2010 Nastia Liuking Cup. Gabby traveled to Worcester, MA for the Nastia Cup where she earned 4th place in the all around.
Gabby later qualified to the 2010 US National Championships in Hartford, CT where she earned 4th all around and qualified to the 2010-2011 Junior National Team! She earned two international assignments, the 2010 Pan Ams and 2011 City of Jesolo. Gabby earned the gold medal on bars at the 2010 Pan Ams and placed 4th All-Around at the City of Jesolo. She went on to qualify to her first Senior National Championships which were held in St. Paul, MN. Gabby became the 2011 Bronze Medalist on Uneven Bars and earned a spot on the 2011-2012 Senior National Team. Gabby was also selected to be a member of the 2011 World Championship Team!
