BIOGRAPHY

Brittany Rogers was born June 8, 1993 in New Westminster, British Columbia to parents Gord and Gina. In 2002 Brittany competed in the British Columbia Gymnastics Championships as a P2 where she placed 1st all around, 1st on bars, 1st on beam, and 1st on floor. The following year she went on to competed as a National P Novice at the same competition placing 1st all around, 1st on vault, 1st on bars, and 2nd on floor. In 2004 Brittany moved up to the international level.

Brittany started 2004 off with a bang by traveling to Calgary where she competed in Elite Canada. She placed 2nd all around, 3rd on vault, and 1st on bars! Next Brittany traveled to Mississauga to competed in the Canadian National Championships where she once again earned 1st in the all around. At Western Canadian Championships in November Brittany earned gold in the all around competition. Brittany continued to compete as a junior during 2005 placing 5th AA at Elite Canada. Later in the year she competed in her very first international competition. Brittany, and teammate Charlotte Mackie, traveled to Marseilles, France to compete in the 2005 Massilia Cup where Brittany placed 22nd all around. She went on to place 1st all around at the British Columbia Gymnastics Championships, 1st on bars at the Western Canadian Championships, and 2nd all around at the Canadian Championsihps.

Brittany saw more international success in 2006 when she placed 5th all around at the Jr. Pan American Championships. She was also selected to represent Canada at the Pacific Alliance Championships held in Honolulu, HI where she helped Canada earn 2nd place as a team. At International Gymnix in Montreal, CAN Brittany earned 7th all around as well as 6th on vault. Brittany rounded out her year by placing 5th all around and 1st on vault at the Canadian Championships in Quebec City. In 2007 Brittany traveled to Yokohama, Japan to compete in the 2007 Japan Junior competition where she earned 10th all around. Brittany was once again selected to compete for Canada as a member of the XIV Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro where she helped Canada earn a bronze as a team. She then competed in her 2nd International Gymnix competition earning 7th in the all around.

Brittany continued to be selected to represent Canada at international competitions in 2008. She traveled as part of the Canadian Delegation to San Jose, California where she competed in the Pacific Rim Championships helping team Canada earn silver as a team and taking 7th all around individually. She went on to earn a silver medal in the all around at the International Gymnix competition. Brittany competed as a senior athlete at Canadian Championships taking 6th all around and 4th on vault. She ended her year by earning 1st all around, 1st on vault, 1st on beam, and 2nd on floor at Elite Canada. Brittany was then chosen to represent Canada at the 2009 American Cup!

Brittany Trains at Omega Gymnastics Academy with coaches Vladimir and Svetlana Lashin. She is currently in her 2nd year of school at Terry Fox Secondary where she graduates in 2011 and hopes to receive an NCAA Scholarship for Gymnastics. She enjoys scrapbooking, singing, and making videos in her free time and also enjoys being on her computer, playing with her dog, and hanging out with friends. She also spends some of her free time coaching recreational classes at Omega.
